How do I make sure theprepaid SIM card doesn't expire?

A: Use the ADF (AUTO DIAL FEATURE). GSW2 will dial 'Administrator Number 1' after a certain amount of days. You just answer the call and hang up. The SIM has made a chargeable call so it won't expire. See Miscellaneous Parameters for details how to set the number of days (ADF). You must also set the number it calls (TN1). See the section 'SET UP TO 5 AUTHORISED ADMINISTRATORS' to set TN1 in the complete manual.

After I switch the power off and back on my GSW2 settings are gone. Why?

A: Not many but some pay as you go SIM cards have Customer Service numbers preset into the first slots of the SIM card. They cannot be erased. When you set your GSW2 programming over them and cycle the power, they come back and wipe your settings. Send this SMS before sending any other setting to the GSW2:  ;+SPO=10;  After you have sent this SMS, your programming will be stored after position 10 on the SIM card and avoid being erased.
